Just checked up on Gamestop checking out some of the release dates of games, and I went to Prototype. For a while now the game was going to be released in October/November area. But when I checked the site again, the release date says: 4/1/2009!This is not official, but I usually trust the Gamestop dates, even if I hate them, so I am kinda pi$$ed about this. Here's the link: http://www.gamestop.com/browse/search.aspx?N=0%26Ntk=TitleKeyword%26Ntx=mode+matchallpartial%26Ntt=Prototype Now, is this just fake, or should we not trust it? But I have to wait for friggin' April?Unofficial: Prototype Delayed!?!?
*GASP* I dont think this is true. The game looks like it will release this year. Unless, they need more time to polish to make it even better. Even then, it will just end up like Army of Two, making fans wait for nothing. Unofficial: Prototype Delayed!?!?
Ouch! All I can say is I hope the ''new'' date is wrong - especially with all the updates and recent hype for prototype - it would really suck if they were pumping it up knowing it was going to be delayed.
I just recently got hyped about this game. I hope it's not true.
Though when I think about it, it may be good to move the date. They would have to compete with Fable 2, Dead Space, Fallout 3, and Gears of War 2.
gamespot's release dates are about as reliable as a dog on LSD.
The only time when I know a video game is coming out for definite is when I actually see it on the shelves. 'Release Dates' mean nothing these days.
Gamestop's ''release dates'' are nothing more than placeholders until the publisher officially announces the final date. Believe me, Gamestop employees have no magical way of knowing how far along a game is. They have to put some sort of expected release date so that they can sell preorders, so they just slap any old date that might be close on their website and then grab your cash.
