halo3 vs. cod4?

im deciding between halo3 or cod4 their both good games and most of my friends have them but im just not sure which one is better can you help me?halo3 vs. cod4?
It ALL comes down to preference. IF you like Sci-fi over realistic, modern combat, then Halo 3. If you like realistic, modern combat over Sci-fi, get COD4. Online, I like Halo 3 far more. It's just more fun and easier to get used to. But as I said, it is all preference.halo3 vs. cod4?

single player hands down, without question its halo 3 and add local and online coop to that it adds to everything.and online i take halo 3 because it gets boring way less fast because of more original modes and maps plus forge.
Tough call but I started with cod 4 and I played it a lot and I'm pretty new at Halo 3 so I won't have as much fun with Halo 3 as I did with cod 4 because I liked the perks, unlockables and challenges of cod 4.

Just waitin' for the fanboys to come. And it really comes down to preference.

either one is amazing and will keep you happy. i give halo the edge because every game mode is co op or multiplayer. cod4 has more ''addicting'' factor, but halo 3 has great value. plus if a friend has cod4 on pc you can just install that and play MP without a disc on the better platform.... assuming your pc can run it.
I like both a lot. But there is too much little kids these days in Halo 3. Just depends if you like modern or scifi shooters.
I like Halo 3 a little bit better for all of the content it has but they are both great.
