GTA 4 , WHAT IS IT WITH THE DRIVING... STEERING AND MOVING THE CAMERA AT THE SAME TIME , ANY ONE MASTERED IT YET I CANT SEEM TOO ???GTA 4 --- the car handling...what the he ...
i thought it was really easy, and i really like how the cars handle, much more realistic.GTA 4 --- the car handling...what the he ...
yeah it quite realistic its just when u got to turn a corner you got to steer the car as well as the camera lol
They made it realistic, you know, so you can't rip the e-brake a drift for half a mile.. Personally, I love it.
i thought it was really easy, and i really like how the cars handle, much more realistic.
Yea...seriously. You're mad because you can't turn on a dime in a Pinto at 120mph anymore? The changes are for the better. It's very realistic. Give it some time, trust me you'll like it.
I like it too, took a little getting used to, be by no means is it difficult.
just need to practise , its just in any driving game , the camera always follows you, but in this you control the camera quite cool i suppose !!!
I too was upset with then new changes to driving. But, it is very realistic. This change and others make GTA IV a great gameIt takes a bit to get used to but it all works out in the end.

It's not even pushing the camera far, you just need to casually bring it along with the car.I actually almost got the 5 car rolls achievement by accident when I was trying to turn, I think I got about 3.5 (ended up on my roof) when trying turn really really fast.
Ha I almost did that toohave u played the QUBED game?
There is in fact way too much understeer in cars in the game for it to be called 'realistic'. In real life when you power on with even a medium horsepower rear wheel vehicle you should spin out the back end very easily. You cant even do a donut properly in the game. That said, the new driving physics are, taken at a whole, much more realistic than previous GTA's. They are actually still essentially the same style as old GTA's if you think about it, you must brake normally to slow down for a turn if you are going too fast and then you need to use the hand brake lightly (most of the time) to help get the back end around quickly. I like how they have made it not so easy that you have to put in a bit of practice to become a good driver in the game. The general physics of how the cars roll and flip are a little too tame in my opinion but they are still wicked.
I thought the game was as good as it could possibly be, perfect, it got a 10 right? Problems, that's impossible, all the ''experts'' said it was perfect
Only thing I hate is some time I spazz and hit the ''Y'' button and end up bailing out of the car when I wanted to hit the ''A'' button for the handbrake.
Do you use the standard controls with the gas pedal tied to the RT and the brakes tied to the LT, or the classic controls with the gas tied to the A button and brakes tied to the X button?
I'm sticking with the standard controls but I still find myself trying to press X when taking a turn and I end up slamming into the curb.
I can drive fine, I move the camera all the time when driving to help when turning, really makes a difference.
The driving caught me a ittle off guard at first, but now I'm getting pretty good at it. Even with that slight learning curve however, I wouldn't even think about claiming that this game should had scored less than a 10. So far I totally agree with its score.

Right after I find a sweet car too, I end up sending it into a wall accidently at like 80mph.I did the same thing as you TC. I was using the camera to turn the cars when I first started playing. Give it 30 minutes, you'll find a groove for it.
You dont want to just use the handbreak. Use the brakes as you aproach the turn to slow down alittle then hit hte hand break, helps alot. Also, this driving kicks ass....so if you hate it cause you cant master it then just use taxi's the games ment to be more realistic.
i thought it was really easy, and i really like how the cars handle, much more realistic.
Agreed. I wouldnt have it any other way.
i DONT LIKE how niko lives after flying through the front window......but then the game wouldent be any fun i guess
