I was just wondering what the best type of TV is for Xbox 360 gaming. I would get a 1080p more than likely, but I need to know what type. The reason I am asking is because my friend has an LCD I believe, and it has a slow reaction/lag. You move the control stick, and then it takes a little longer for the TV to respond. Price isn't a problem, but the less, the better. So anyways, what's better LCD, Plasma, Projection, or some other kind. Thanks in advance.Best type of TV for gaming?

maybe its cause his TV has a slow refresh time wich causes lag/ ghostingBest type of TV for gaming?
1080p shinny screen LCD (NOT MATTE) with 2 ms response time
What about a DLP TV?
I have a ultrathin 50'' Samsung DLP 1080p HDTV with the new LED engine...works like a charm. It is, however, the only DLP I would recommend otherwise I would go plasma.

They have excellent PQ and pretty much no refresh issues. These sets are not being made anymore, but if you look into used market, you can find some excellent deals. If you want something something larger than 34 inches then I would say Pioneer Kuro line plasmas is the best right now for overall PQ.
I would go LCD. They're very nice and good for gaming. However I hear plasmas have a better black level and are much better than LCDs. People complain that plasmas burn images onto the screen permanently. This is somewhat overrated. After a while, burn-in is no longer a problem, like after 30-50 hours of tv use.
i play on a monitor but my ps3 is on a 1080p dlp 56 inch samsung slim like the guy above said and it rocks. the only problem with dlp is the viewing angle isn't great so you should be straight on from the tv. plasma burn in is almost a thing of the past and lcd ar realy good as well. i would go to best buy or circuit city and look at what looks the best for the price. Pioneer is the best in TV's but sony and samsung are really good brands as well
I have a Vizio...then again im not using HDMI cables only the comps...
Which ever you decide refresh rate and contrast ratio are the main things you need to worry about.
I have 50'' sony SXRD LCD Projection - No Lag problems and played DMC4 fine.
I play on my flat-screen computer monitor. I also bought a VGA switch, so it's easy to switch from the Xbox 360 to my computer.
This is better suited for General Hardware.
